Gifts from the garden

Yesterday was an absolutely glorious day so I spent a good part of the day in our garden with two very happy and very affectionate dogs. I concentrated on my neglected and weed infested herb and veg garden. Jessica spent most of the time munching her way through all of my parsley whilst Sophie shook, chewed and danced with the rosemary offcuts. It was delightful.

Blue, blue sky. Warm sun and a beautiful wattle overhead. The wattle so inspired me that I grabbed my snips and picked myself a joyous bundle of patriotic yellow blossoms. Here they are on my table.

A close up of the blossoms.....

You may have noticed the painting in the background. Instead of having dancing at our wedding, we hired an artist who came and guided our guests to paint us a lovely painting. Everybody painted a bit. It was a great generator of conversation and had provided us with a lovely memory. Jeff and I are at left in our wedding finery and this is where we got married.....looking over our mountains.
