Kathrine, our Danish scout 'daughter' is returning for a visit early in 2012 with three friends. I've promised to blog some information on things to do in our local area which will hopefully give them some things to look forward to. The abysmal weather recently has rather put paid to that, however, we took advantage of the beautiful weekend and headed to the Eumundi Markets. The markets are about a 45 minute drive to the north of us and are quite well established and large. As with most markets there are stalls of handicrafts, artwork, jewellery, lots of lovely clothing, food, soaps and toiletries, hair beading, entertainment etc. They are well shaded and developments to the site have made it easy to walk around. Here are a few photos for my Danish friends to be and our Kathrine.
My next 'for the Danes' post will feature one of our lovely local beaches. I'll post that within the next week - if blogger stays up and working!
